Iraq War Movies
Regardless of your opinion of the current war in Iraq, you can't help but want to get some sort of perspective into the conflict.
The internet has changed the way we view war moreso than television and film before it. We are able to get viewpoints and perspectives that we otherwise wouldn't have. Unlike the previous Gulf War, where the action and the message was given to us from the news outlets, today we're able to get true first hand reports, as they happen, through blogs and videos.
The current movies about the Iraq war basically fall into two categories, the documentary, and the "anti-war" picture. But then again, aren't all war movies, at least in some way, "anti-war?"
When you go into a movie expecting less, and wind up getting way more, that's usually a good thing (I need to start watching every film this way!) and
