Given Stone’s propensity for making films that exude controversy, I’m not really sure this is one that should be made.  Following in the recent trend of war movie… “revisionism” for lack of a better term…. But anyway….

Oscar winner Sean Penn may star in a movie about the notorious My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War, if reports are to be believed.

Oliver Stone will direct the movie, which has been entitled ‘Pinkville’.

“Pinkville?”  Maybe somebody can enlighten me on the significance of that?  Some sort of code word for the village?

I’ll wait to hear more information about this before I go passing judgement, but I hope this doesn’t turn out to be some sort of “statement” on Stone’s part.  If you get my drift.
