Throughout the next few years , reruns were still shown on cinemas & local TV. It disappeared from my radar until the recent years when I passionately started my collections of black & white war movies from the 1930s to 60s. SOIJ, the marching song , the flag raising at the mount & of course when Striker gets the bullet....are the most enduring and scenes are remembered from the movie. Today, my favourites on the Iwo Jima war includes, Eastwood's versions.
