		<description>Wow, this movie SOIJ was again one of my favourites when I first saw it in cinema, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia at 5 years old in 69.

Throughout the next few years , reruns were still shown on cinemas &amp; local TV. It disappeared from my radar until the recent years when I passionately started my collections of black &amp; white war movies from the 1930s to 60s.

SOIJ, the marching song , the flag raising at the mount &amp; of course when Striker gets the bullet....are the most enduring and scenes are remembered from the movie.

Today, my favourites on the Iwo Jima war includes, Eastwood&#039;s versions.
