Valkyrie is a well done and accurate bit of history. I commend it teaching a new generation about an interesting historical event. Let's face it - most 18-25s had no idea there was an attempt on Hitler's life. The presense of Cruise probably lured some of them to the theater. My complaint as a history lover and especially as a war movie buff (see my blog) is I am disappointed that all the effort and money that went into this movie was not spent on a more worthy subject. How about a movie about Tarawa, for instance? Also, anyone with half a brain could have told you there was no market for this movie! What a waste of effort.
