If you’re a fan of the medieval-style massive axe-and-sword-battle on horseback type of thing, the upcoming Mongol just might be up your alley. Looks like it may be a love story (sigh) wrapped up in a sort-of biographical war movie, so keep that in mind. Could be interesting as the history of one of the most infamous warlords of all time…. and a possible trilogy could be in the works….

Mongol makes its US debut June 6th, I couldn’t find any info on distribution. It’s won several film awards in Russia and Asia (I don’t believe its in English, so again…) And is nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
